Artist: Frances Dixon
Frances Dixon is an artist hailing from Edgewater Park, New Jersey. She has been attending William Paterson University since 2016 and majors in Animation and Multimedia. She has been interviewed with her college’s Uni-Ink Magazine and her work was featured in the Fall 2018 Material Matters art show.
Frances was a self-taught artist with an emphasis in illustration. Her mediums of choice are watercolor and Copic markers. Both mediums allow for a vibrancy and abundance of color that delights her. Color is very important to her as it expresses emotions and feelings not easily communicated through words. However, color is not the focus of her work. Frances enjoys working with the figure to either recreate portraits or create her own characters. One day she plans to work for gaming or animation studios to create characters everyone can love.
